Yesterday (6/3), around 10:15pm, Henrico County Division of Fire responded to 100 N Fern Ave, station 3 fire due. The call notes originally stated that a light pole was on fire. When the first due units arrived on scene, they found heavy fire showing from a single story residential structure. While companies/crews were working and stretching lines, the fire was burning through the front porch and front window. The first due Engine, Engine 303, quickly put water on the fire through the front window but simultaneously fire broke out of the rear front window. Once the scene was under control the fire marshal went to work. After the fire marshal completed their important job, extensive overhaul was completed by units on scene.
